Holidays for single parents

I went on a holiday for single parents earlier this year and although it was great fun being in a large group (the kids loved it), the holiday was very expensive for what it was- mainly because we had to pay the cost of the 2 coordinators who were with us.

Has anyone found any suitable alternatives?

I have been searching the internet for something similar that is not ver expensive.
I would have thought there would be somewhere out there that could organise these holidays for single parent families, that realised that very many lone parent families are living on a lower income than regular 2 parent families.

I saw one site that were charging £950 adult £850 child under 12 !!! How many of us can afford that?!

I think it could be successful if on forums like these single parents familes got together & booked themselves holidays at a price they can afford.

There must be so many like myself who although would love the quality time with the kids, also would just like adult company on holiday too, so the kids can play in the pool with newly made friends etc & mum is not sat alone trying to look she is not bored having no one to talk to.

While looking for somewhere that done group One parent families I foun this site
www.holiday-buddies.co.uk
where it finds you someone similar to go on holiday with...which is a good idea as you can then book the best bargain around yourself.

I have just joined so dont know if I will find anyone to travel with yet.
Hope so my kids realy need a hol & Ive not enough confidence to take them alone.

i'm just back from taking my three kids aged 13 10 n a 2 yr old. first holiday with the baby and on my own. It was a total nightmare. we only went to a haven holiday but that was stressful enough. The older kids wanted to hang around the arcade so i sat with the baby to watch the entertainment........the baby wanted just to run around the venue which left the table free and then my bag which was huge due to all the stuff i had to carry....however the kids enjoyed themselves..

Hello
Myself & many single parent families are on Low Income,so would find some of the holidays on offer a luxury they could not afford.

I think getting a last minute Bargain is the most affordable...although, this can have drawbacks if like myself you have no ther adults to travel with.

Would be nice to find somewhere that strikes a happy medium, Low cost/Budget priced holidays that are organised into groups f Single Parent families.
