A Money Survival Kit that gives immediate help to single parents facing financial crisis has been launched by One Space, the social networking site from Single Parent Action Network (SPAN).
The Money Survival Kit provides a range of easy-to-use, interactive online resources with practical solutions to help single parents tackle immediate problems such as mortgage arrears, preventing bankruptcy, CSA issues and managing fuel bills:

The kit also includes1-2-1 financial and debt advice via email with solution-based case studies that reflect real-life experience. Single parents can access the resources at a time and place which is convenient for them and are supported to identify their own solutions with the reassurance that they are obtaining advice from reliable sources.
SPAN director, Sue Cohen says:
‘As single parents are especially vulnerable in the current economic situation, these new resources provide an effective and immediate way for single parents to tackle money and debt problems by following a manageable step by step approach.’
The One Space website is an interactive site delivered by SPAN and funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. The Money Survival Kit has been developed in partnership with SCOOP Aid (Sheffield Committee of One Parents).
